Requirements / Qualifications

ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with major course work in Police Science, Law Enforcement, Administration of Justice, Business Management or Administration, or closely related field. EXPERIENCE: Four (4) years of experience in protective/police officer work; including three (3) years of successful work experience in a lead or supervisory capacity. OR Five (5) years of experience as a campus safety/security officer in an educational setting; including three (3) years of successful work experience in a lead or supervisory capacity. Certificates: Must have satisfactorily completed the following at the time of submission of application: • POST LEVEL II training course • Certificate of Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) • NIMS IS-100 Introduction to the Incident Command System * * * * * * * * * SPECIAL REQUIREMENT: Must be on call during non-duty hours in the event of a District emergency or crisis.
