The ideal candidate will inspire students in grades 7–12 through engaging instruction in Social Science, including World History, U.S. History, Government, and/or Economics. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a diverse and supportive educational community. Duties and Responsibilities: • Plan and deliver lessons aligned with California History–Social Science Content Standards. • Teach one or more social science subjects (e.g., World History, U.S. History, Government, Economics, or Geography). • Design and implement differentiated instruction for diverse learners, including English learners and students with special needs. • Incorporate technology and current events to make learning relevant and meaningful. • Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment focused on respect and academic growth. • Use formative and summative assessments to guide instruction and support student learning. • Collaborate with fellow educators and staff in professional learning communities. • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and classroom expectations. • Participate in site and district-level professional development and committees. Minimum Qualifications: Required: • Valid California Single Subject Teaching Credential in Social Science. • English Learner Authorization (CLAD, ELA1, or equivalent). • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university.
