Job Summary

Job Summary

Under the direction of an assigned administrator, manage the varied operations and programs of the FacilitiesMaintenance section of the Maintenance, Operations, Transportation and Security Department; coordinate and supervise the communication, installation, repair and maintenance of facilities; coordinate and execute the implementation of student, staff, equipment and facility safety, security and health related programs; plan, organize, monitor, evaluate and supervise the work of assigned personnel assigned to several specialized facilities maintenance units.

Requirements / Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school supplemented by completion of an approved apprenticeshipprogram in one or more of the maintenance trades and five years maintenance experience including at least two years ofresponsible supervisory experience in the management of programs and services which include the maintenance, repair,construction, and security of complex facilities and building equipment systems. LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Valid California driver's license. Incumbent will be involved in field work which requires travel in personal or district vehicle to various sites. Incumbents may be required to wear protective apparel including goggles, face protectors, aprons and shoes.
