Requirements / Qualifications

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS/ATTACHMENTS: * Two (2) letters of recommendation - must be signed and dated within the last 24 months. Only wet signatures and e-signatures will be accepted; names typed out in a stylized font will not be accepted as a signature. Letters from relatives are not acceptable. * Proof of education equivalent to the completion of the 12th grade. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: An offer of employment in this classification is contingent upon providing proof of completion of SB1626 or SB390 and pepper spray certification, passing a physical examination, and passing a psychological evaluation. An offer of employment is contingent upon providing proof of First Aid/CPR training. First Aid/CPR Card must be obtained from an authorized American Heart Association (AHA) training center (e.g. American Red Cross, NSC, AHA, or third party). Cards obtained through an online course will not be accepted. Must complete Narcan/Naloxone application certification within one (1) month of hire.

REQUIREMENTS: A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in law enforcement and/or security. Experience working with students in a public school, or college setting is preferred High school diploma or equivalent to completion of twelfth grade. Completion of formal or informal education sufficient to assure the ability to perform the tasks listed above. Pass the District Campus Security Officer II written test and any combination of written, oral, and performance tests which may be administered to secure the best qualified applicants.
