San Joaquin Memorial High School, a Catholic college preparatory high school in Fresno, CA is seeking a qualified: Director of Guidance & School Counseling. The Director of Guidance & School Counseling is a key member of the administrative team, reporting to the Fresno Catholic System President. This role is responsible for leading and managing the school’s counseling and guidance services to support the academic, college/career planning, and personal development needs of all students. Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and oversee a comprehensive counseling program for all students. Supervise counseling staff and coordinate their professional development. Manage department records and publish relevant academic and guidance materials. Coordinate college, military, and career representative visits and related events. Oversee the implementation and use of guidance platforms, including NAVIANCE. Organize and manage standardized testing programs and report results. Guide students and families through college admissions, scholarships, and financial aid processes. Work collaboratively with the President to develop the Master Schedule and student registration. Provide individual and group counseling services. Serve as a liaison between students, parents, faculty, and administration regarding academic and personal guidance matters. This position requires strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, as well as a commitment to student success and well-being.
