QUALIFICATIONS: Credential: Possession of a valid California Teaching credential Education: A Bachelor’s degree from an approved institution is required. Advanced degrees are preferred. Experience: A minimum of three years of certificated experience in public, charter or private schools is preferred and additionally, preference will be given for other school teaching experience, administrative, or supervisorial experience.

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree or higher education preferred. EXPERIENCE: Three (3) years experience in independent study, school administration, or compliance monitoring. Familiarity with SIS/LMS platforms (Aeries, Edgenuity, Canvas, One Stop) strongly preferred. Two (2) years experience in data analysis at the school level preferred. Expertise with statistical software, and educational and web-based data management systems preferred. WORK SCHEDULE AND SALARY PLACEMENT: The Independent Study Compliance Director is placed on the 220 calendar and is placed on the GCC Salary Schedule by years of service in that role. Due to the unique nature of the position, up to 10 non-work days may be shifted from the approved work calendar to meet auditing, reporting and processing deadlines/compliance. Non-work days may only be shifted at the direction and pre-approval of the Superintendent/CEO or designee. LICENSE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Must have a valid Teaching Credential.
