Requirements / Qualifications

Athletic Coaches shall give evidence of meeting minimum requirements by one or more of the following: -Possession of a valid First Aid and CPR card. Coaching experience at the High School level is strongly desired -3 to 4 years coaching and/or playing water polo at High School level or above. Years as a member of a national team (e.g. USA Water Polo or equivalent) will also count year-for-year towards coaching experience -Comprehensive up to date knowledge of the sport, strategies, and technical skills -Demonstrate ability to successfully teach, enforce, advocate and model appropriate behavior and character traits -Must successfully complete an interview related to the coaching skills and philosophy of the sport -Must be able to clear all training required by the district and obtain the NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching, Sudden Cardiac Arrest, Concussion in Sports, Heat & Illness Prevention Ability to: -Teach fundamental, physical and mental skills needed in the sport of Water Polo. -Build positive relationships and mentor the coaching staff in an effort to sustain a successful program -Promote academic excellence within the entire Swim program -Build positive relationships with staff, students, parents, media, and community members. -Foster a desire to promote school spirit and a positive school climate -Organize the acquisition and inventory of uniforms, equipment, and supplies for the entire Swim program -Work cooperatively with the Athletic Director and Site Administration *Please note, you will be redirected to our new job portal on SchoolSpring when you click the apply button.
