Job Summary

The San Luis Coastal Unified School District is looking for a new Accounts Payable Specialist for our Fiscal Services department. Accounts Payable Specialists at SLCUSD perform general accounting functions; process financial transactions such as approved invoices and contracts; and record, update, and reconcile related financial information; as well as perform other related duties as assigned. Qualified candidates will have a combination of experience and training equivalent to two years experience in bookkeeping, financial record-keeping, and general clerical work. Candidates who successfully pass screening and have submitted all required documents will proceed to an exam. The exam will be held the morning of Tuesday, July 15th, in San Luis Obispo. Time and location details will be provided to candidates who are invited to move on in the process, after initial screening. Candidates who pass the exam with a score of 70% or higher may be invited to oral board interviews, date TBD. Candidates must pass the oral board interviews with a score of 70 or higher to be added to the eligibility list. The top three (3) ranks of candidates after the exam and oral board interviews will be invited to a hiring interview, date TBD. SPECIAL NOTES: 1) Correctly filling out forms and following other instructions contained in this notice are part of the testing process. 2) Applicants with disabilities need to notify the Human Resources Office of any special needs so that adequate preparation may be made for their testing. 3) Veterans qualifying for the oral board examination may receive 5 additional points added to their final score if proof of discharge is submitted at time of oral board interview.
