Job Summary

Central Union High School District is looking for a highly motivated and innovative school leader to join our administrative team at Southwest High School. CUHSD is located in El Centro, CA - 2 hours East of San Diego, CA ; 1 hour West of Yuma, AZ; and 20 minutes from the Mexican border. Under the general supervision of the Principal, this position assumes responsibility for all phases in the development of the master scheduling of students into classes at the comprehensive high school; coordinates the pre-registration of feeder school students into the program; and coordinates the personnel needs for the school site with the Principal. Performs other administrative duties as part of the leadership team at the comprehensive high school. Provides administrative and technical staff assistance to the principal; assumes responsibility for major portions of school operation; and may assume operational charge in the absence of the principal. The ideal candidate will have effective communication skills, collaborative problem-solving skills, strong interpersonal skills, critical thinking skills; strong instructional leadership qualities; and have a true desire to help students succeed. Extended hours to attend athletic events, award ceremonies, student performances, and other events is one of the duties related to this position.
