John Muir Elementary School is an outstanding elementary school located in an idyllic park setting in the Alhambra Valley of historic Martinez, CA. A last minute resignation has provided us with the opportunity to bring on a new staff member to our already outstanding staff. A supportive BTSA Induction will be provided to a beginning teacher should they be selected for this position. The school has an enrollment of approximately 350 Kindergarten through fifth grade students. In addition to our regular staff, John Muir has a full-time physical education and a full-time music teacher. The students of John Muir have access to a beautiful library staffed by our library media assistant. Our computer lab is supervised by a trained Technology Specialist who provides ideas and assistance to students and teachers. We are looking for a dynamic, innovative Kindergarten teacher to work as part of a collaborative team. John Muir Elementary School has a strong staff committed to the teaching of state standards. We are looking for a teacher who will join us in helping students reach a high level of academic achievement. All teachers have a 45 minute prep period each day. Our staff is also supported by exceptional parents who contribute significantly to our success.
