20 hours per week (averaging 4.00 hours per day) - Work Hours: Flexible/Negotiable ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOR PETALUMA ADULT SCHOOL: In addition to the College & Career Pathways and Scholarships duties listed in the Job Description, the Petaluma Adult School Outreach Specialist duties shall focus on the following: Student Outreach and Recruitment: Welcomes newly enrolled students; sends emails and other written correspondence, as well as making individual phone calls, to adult students who have stopped attending class; implements and maintains new opportunities for students; initiates strategies to recruit new students; performs clerical duties such as preparing and typing correspondence, establishing and maintain records and files and preparing reports as required; assists students with writing resumes and interviewing skills; performs job-related duties as assigned including clerical support and assistance in the counseling department as needed. Provide student drop-in support (virtual and face to face) to maintain a consistent presence and accessibility for current and returning students, especially during drop-in “Office Hours.” Gather and provide educational resources to students. Track referrals and follow-up with students in collaboration with teachers and school administration.

Social Media Marketing: Content Creation and Management to develop and execute social media strategies, create and share engaging content, including text, images, videos, and interactive elements, and moderate user-generated content and respond to comments and messages. Data Analysis and Reporting to monitor social media metrics and analyze data to identify trends and measure campaign performance, use social media analytics tools to track key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide insights and recommendations to improve social media strategies. Collaboration and Communication with other departments and the District Office to maintain a consistent brand voice and image across all social media platforms and engage with followers and build relationships with students and community members. Other Responsibilities may include social media advertising campaigns, website content management, press releases to local news agencies, and market research to identify industry trends and target audiences.
