Under the direction of the Director of Special Education and the principal, facilitate reduction, remediation, or elimination of speech and language impairments which interfere with the individual student’s ability to benefit from the district’s educational program; perform other related functions as required

Requirements / Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications -Masters Degree in Communication Disorders/ Speech and Language Pathology. -Valid Clinical Credential from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing in Language, Speech and Hearing is required or a California License as a Speech-Language Pathologist -Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competency/ ASHA certification. -Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable.

The following are required documents and must be submitted in order to move forward:

  • Copy of Transcript (Masters Degree in Communication Disorders/ Speech and Language Pathology.)
  • Credential Copy (Valid Clinical Credential from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing in Language, Speech and Hearing is required or a California License as a Speech-Language Pathologist)
  • Letter of Introduction
  • Letter(s) of Recommendation (Three Letters of Recommendation within one year and must be dated.)
  • Resume
