Uncharted Shores Academy (USA) is looking for dedicated teachers and school support staff who can help us achieve our goal of becoming Del Norte County's preferred school of choice. This job posting is for a full-time position consisting of a combined homeschool and music teacher for the 2025/26 school year. USA is seeking a homeschool teacher that will work closely with families in guiding and monitoring curriculum delivery to students TK-8th grade. Duties include: Curriculum and supply ordering, weekly student family check-in and instruction, assisting and developing lesson planning for individual students, evaluating student progress, reporting on daily attendance as it relates to independent study law (work production equals attendance), maintaining regular positive communication with students and their supporting family members, collecting work sample documentation, administering California state testing, and advising parents on implementation of curriculum and academic supports, as necessary. The music teacher’s role will be to teach 4th-8th bands (beginning, intermediate, advanced). Additionally, the teacher will provide general music instruction to the USA elementary classes and provide for additional music instruction as the need/interest arises. The music teacher will organize school concerts (Winter & Spring) and coordinate with all count band directors to participate in the annual All County Band Event.
