Job Summary
Under the direction of the Chief Technology Officer, install, configure, troubleshoot, and service networked computer workstations and related equipment and software used in administrative and specialized environments; participate in installations and configuration and assist with maintenance of server hardware and software for one or more local networks governing data communications among personal computers; install, configure and maintain Voice over IP VOIP including remote phone services; apply advanced problem solving and technical skills to all business and education services in order to maximize the efficiency of the district. Provide technical support and help functions that relate to computer hardware and software, data communications, and connectivity.
Requirements / Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of: - Computer operations, including the relationship and usage of various input and output components, business and education support software, terminology and operating systems. - Operating systems, including but not limited to, Windows, Linux, Mac, iOS, Android, Windows Server, Cisco CUCM, VmWare, and Cloud based applications. - Protocols and procedures for setting up new equipment, troubleshooting and performing routine maintenance. - SQL database management. - ERP, SIS, POS, CRM - Project Management / Security Planning/Intervention/Prevention for data and privacy. - School district processes relating to IT and data and the systems that support them. Ability to: - Install, configure, and troubleshoot networked computer workstations, systems, and programs used in both instruction and administrative areas. - Install and configure computer components such as, but not limited to, cards and drivers. - Participate in all phases of the system development lifecycle with a focus on computer systems including maintenance and support for technical services. - Fabricate and connect interface cables and connections between computers. - Provide Support ERP, SIS, POS, CRM and other information systems applications in various departments. - Apply project management skills to ensure reliable timelines. - Able to communicate effectively with vendors, inspectors and product support teams to resolve technical issues. - Work in a team environment utilizing customer service and enterprise methodology. - Read, interpret and apply complex technical information including equipment blueprints and schematics. - Give one-on-one and small group training in the use of computers and business and specialized software applications such as those used in education. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: - Any combination equivalent to: a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field and three (3) years’ experience in the setup of networked computer workstations and advanced computer technical support. Alternatively, an Associate’s Degree and 6-8 years of experience may be accepted. Industry certifications may substitute for some experience. LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS: - Valid California Driver’s License. - May require First-Aid/ CPR Certification.
