Requirements / Qualifications

Education, Training, and Experience: 1. Postgraduate work in special education, school administration, or a related field. 2. Knowledge and experience in one or more areas of major handicapping conditions, in preschool handicapped, career/vocational development, and transition assistance. 3. Successful administrative experience in special education. 4. Progressively responsible experience in providing administrative leadership in special education. 5. Possession of an appropriate school administrative credential. 6. Experience in directing/supervising the work of others. 7. Experience in working with a variety of agencies and other community resources involved with students and families.
