St. Dorothy School is seeking a dynamic, faith-filled, and passionate Middle School English Language Arts (ELA) teacher to join our dedicated faculty for the 2025–2026 school year. This full-time position includes serving as the 7th grade homeroom teacher and teaching ELA to students in grades 6–8. - Experience teaching middle school students, preferably in a Catholic or faith-based school setting. - Practicing Catholic in good standing (preferred). - Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills. - Commitment to fostering academic excellence and a love for reading and writing in students. - Teach ELA to middle school students (grades 6–8), focusing on literature, writing, grammar, and vocabulary. - Serve as the homeroom teacher for 7th grade, fostering a welcoming and supportive classroom community. - Integrate Catholic values into the curriculum and model Christian behavior. - Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based lessons aligned with diocesan curriculum guidelines. - Maintain open communication with students, parents, and colleagues. - Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments and provide regular feedback. - Participate in school-wide events, liturgies, and professional development. - Collaborate with fellow middle school teachers and staff to support student success and school initiatives.
