Job Summary

Description: Seeking highly motivated, professional, energetic and certified Navy, Marine or Coast Guard W-2 to O6 to fill the Senior Naval Science Instructor position at Chaffey High School in Ontario, CA. This position will be available immediately. The NJROTC Unit at Chaffey High School enjoys tremendous support at all levels of the school, the district and the community. The unit is very competitive and very involved. The NSI applicant must be willing to work before and after school, evenings, and weekends as necessary to support the many unit events and activities, as well as school and community events. Contract is on a 11-month basis.

Requirements / Qualifications

Requirements: Must apply for Preliminary Designated Subjects Special Subjects Teaching Credential – Reserve Officers Training Corps through a university or institution; Must enroll into a clear program and complete requirements according to the institution and Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) state requirements. Willing to work with District Credential’s Technician on additional waiver(s) that are required for appropriate placement. Compensation: Amount will vary based on rank and years of service in the military. This amount is computed by the service branch of the individual and is known as Minimum Instructor Pay (MIP). Placement on the salary schedule will be the highest class and lowest step above the MIP
