Job Summary
This position operates under the unified job description within the College, Career, and Community Partnerships (CCCP) Department at the San Mateo County Office of Education (SMCOE), with a specialized focus on managing K-14 Career Technical Education (CTE) initiatives aligned with Strong Workforce Program (SWP) and K–12 SWP. Serving as a liaison between SMCOE, the San Mateo County Community College District, and K-12 partner districts, the role coordinates efforts to enhance pathway quality, student outcomes, and regional alignment. Key responsibilities include overseeing pathway development projects, supporting K-12 and community college collaboration, and aligning program strategies to CTEIG, K–12 SWP metrics, and the K–14 Pathway Quality Rubric. This role also ensures effective coordination with regional stakeholders such as the K–14 Technical Assistance Providers (TAPs), Regional Directors of Employer Engagement, and the Centers of Excellence. The position requires data-informed decision-making, knowledge of labor market trends, and strong project management to guide planning, implementation, and continuous improvement across the CTE ecosystem.
Requirements / Qualifications
• Master's Degree from an accredited university. • Valid California Administrative Services Credential • California Driver’s License • Minimum of five (5) years of successful administrative and leadership experience overseeing educational programs and services in at least one of the following areas: academic counseling, career technical education, postsecondary advising, or school-community partnerships. • Demonstrated success working with K–12 systems, community colleges, or industry partners. • Pupil Personnel Services Credential and/or valid CTE credential preferred but not required.
