JOB POSTING There is one position open in the Business Department of the District Office at Reeds Creek School. This position may be filled for either a Business Manager or Chief Business Official depending on qualifications and experience. DESCRIPTION Represent the District on fiscal functions including planning, organizing, and administering the District’s general accounting and budgeting systems. Responsible for all HR duties, Audits, Government Reporting, Support for General Operations and other duties as necessary. For more details, see Duties & Responsibilities below. BUSINESS MANAGER QUALIFICATIONS • Associates Degree in Business or Accounting • Experience in business finance and operations • Other training and certificates relating to business and/or accounting fields • Possess and maintain a valid CA driver’s license and insurance • Knowledge of principles and practices of standardized accounting procedures • Experience with auditing, bookkeeping and budgeting • General knowledge of Federal, State and Local laws, rules and regulations governing accounting of funds in public agencies • A strong working knowledge of modern office methods, procedures and equipment - or - CHIEF BUSINESS OFFICIAL QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Accounting • Completion of a Board Approved CBO Training Program • Extensive experience in school finance and operations • Other training and certificates relating to school business and/or accounting fields • Possess and maintain a valid CA driver’s license and insurance • Knowledge of principles and practices of governmental accounting • Extensive experience with California’s School Accounting Code Structure (SACS), auditing, bookkeeping and budgeting • Extensive knowledge of Federal, State and Local laws and regulations governing accounting of funds in public agencies SEE JOB DESCRIPTION FOR MORE DETAILS.
