Job Summary
Job Summary
Provide continuous support district wide to the overall educational environment on student behavior including but not limited to conducting behavior assessments, writing and implementing behavior plans, training staff on behavior strategies, collecting data and reporting at meetings. The position requires providing direct services to students, support services to teachers and administrators. The Behavior Specialist, under the supervision of the principals, special education director, and assistant superintendent and superintendent.
Requirements / Qualifications
• Behavior Analyst (BCBA), Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), current enrollment towards certification, or valid California Credential authorizing services in school psychology or pupil personnel. (PPS, Teaching Credential, etc.) • Two or more years experience in behavior related work • Knowledge of laws and regulations governing general and special education • Required criminal history check and proof of U.S. citizenship or resident alien status • Possession of a Valid California Class C driver’s license. •First Aid and CPR certification (If certification is needed, can be provided by TCSD. Must be obtained within 60 days of employment.) •Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Certification (provided by TCSD) must be obtained within 60 days of employment.
