Job Summary
Under the direct supervision of the credentialed Special Education Teacher, the special education instructional aide assists certificated personnel in the instruction and supervision of special education and at-risk students at the elementary or secondary level. This work may be with emotionally, educationally, or physically challenged students. The special education instructional aide may be asked to do clerical detail or other related work as required to support the special education teacher or other certificated personnel. The special education instructional aide reports to the Director of Student Services. 29 hours per week. No health benefits.
