Job Summary

Job Summary

Cafeteria Assistant, under supervision of the Food Services Manager, Kitchen Lead, or designee, assists in the preparation and serving of food in a cafeteria or a satellite operation and assists in maintaining food services, facilities and equipment in a neat, safe and sanitary condition.

Requirements / Qualifications

1. Education and experience: Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school or possession of GED required; supplemented by one (1) year of food service experience. 2. Certification: Possession of a valid First Aid, Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate may be required based on job duties. 3. Training: Ongoing training (e.g. Food Safety, Mandated Reporter, Sudden Cardiac Arrest, suicide prevention, etc.) as required by federal or state law, board policy and/or as directed by the Superintendent. 4. Personal Qualifications: Better than average recommendations from professionals who have observed the personal characteristics and work habits of the individual. 5. Communication: Ability to read and write in English; bilingual English/Spanish preferred. 6. Resume 7. TB Test 8. 3 Professional References and/or Letters of Recommendation
