The educational specialist’s primary responsibilities and qualifications are listed below. All educational specialists report to their site administrator (s). The educational specialist is responsible for the development and performance of the students they serve by upholding and abiding by the special educational laws and regulations in the state of California. The Educational Specialist will aide in fostering a collaborative and stimulating classroom environment for a diverse group of students, as well as foster a strong collaboration between parents, faculty members, board members and community partners.
Requirements / Qualifications
-Candidate must possess a current California credential in Special Education appropriate to program needs -Strong communication and multitasking skills -Ability to build relationships and problem solve -Solid knowledge of State and Federal guidelines for Special Education -Bachelor's degree; Master's degree preferred -Be flexible and team-oriented -Excellent written and communication skills -Bilingual in Spanish preferred -At times this job may entail lifting, walking, sitting and standing for periods of time
