Requirements / Qualifications
LLESD is seeking a dynamic and equity-driven educator to join our high-performing middle school as an 8th Grade Core Teacher for the 2025–2026 school year (temporary assignment). This role includes teaching one section each of reading, writing, and social studies to a cohort of 8th grade students. The teacher will also lead two sections of English Language Development (ELD) to support multilingual learners and one section of a Yearbook elective, blending creativity with real-world publishing skills. This position requires a commitment to academic excellence and a passion for ensuring all students—particularly those who need additional support—thrive in a rigorous, inclusive environment. Experience with 8th-grade or middle school core instruction, as well as ELD, is highly desirable. Must hold a valid California Multiple Subject Credential, Single Subject English or Social Studies Credential, or supplementary authorization in either subject, as well as an English language learner authorization.
