St. Athanasius School, Long Beach, is part of the Microschools Network of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. This exciting partnership provides support for schools that are small by design, have multi-age pedagogy, blended learning, and a whole child approach that includes art, PE, music, and gardening. We are seeking a dynamic 3rd/4th grade teacher who wants to help build this unique and innovative program. Requirements: *BA from an accredited college or university *Is a team player *Well-organized, highly energetic, and deeply caring *Ability to plan and implement a rigorous academic curriculum in line with the Common Core and Archdiocesan standards. *Skill in differentiation and classroom management. *Willingness to collaborate with parents/families and fellow teachers to create and deliver a service-oriented curriculum If you love partnering with parents, are curious and a true learner, interested in networking with microschool educators across the Archdiocese, and are enthusiastic about culturally responsive, justice-oriented Catholic education, please apply today.
