Clayton Valley Charter High School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Full-Time English Teacher to join our team for the upcoming school year. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire students through literature, language, and critical thinking in a supportive and academically rigorous environment. Position Details: Position: English Teacher (Full-Time) School Year: 25/26 Grade Levels: 9–12 Status: Exempt, salaried position Location: Clayton Valley Charter High School, Concord, CA Responsibilities: - Teach a range of English Language Arts courses aligned with California content standards - Design and deliver engaging lessons in literature, writing, grammar, and analysis - Create a classroom culture that promotes respect, inquiry, and academic excellence - Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners - Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with families - Collaborate with colleagues in department and cross-curricular teams - Participate in professional development and school-wide events Qualifications: - Valid California Single Subject Teaching Credential in English (or in progress) - Strong classroom management and communication skills - A passion for teaching, learning, and fostering student success - Commitment to equity, inclusion, and high academic standards
