WASHINGTON COLONY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL DISTRICT POSITION DESCRIPTION TITLE: Cafeteria Manager/Head-Cook REPORTS TO: Superintendent CLASSIFICATION: Classified SALARY: Classified Salary Schedule WORK YEAR: 10 Months (200 Days) 9 Holidays Job Description-Cafeteria Manager/Head-Cook The Cafeteria Manager/Head-Cook Is responsible for the general management of the kitchen and cafeteria, prepares and serves meals according to state, federal and local guidelines. Completes all state reports. Must have valid ServSafe food manager certification. Qualifications ServSafe Food Manager Certification Knowledge of State nutritional guidelines Operational knowledge of cafeteria equipment Experience working in a school kitchen Minimum of three years’ experience in a school kitchen, managing a school cafeteria, and managing the state nutritional and operational guidelines Minimum High School Diploma and/or GED
