Requirements / Qualifications

We have an exciting opportunity for a Director of Financial Aid that will serve our campuses District-wide. Under general direction of the Associate Dean, Financial Aid, the Director of Financial Aid plans, organizes, coordinates, and manages the staff and activities of the financial aid, student loans, and student employment on a day-to-day basis. This is an administrative position, exempt from overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act, with responsibility for formulation and recommendation of district policies, regulations and budget decisions related to the area of responsibility. Initial placement on the salary schedule will be commensurate with education and experience, along with a cell phone allowance stipend. This is a 12-month administrative position with day and evening assignments. Classified administrators serve under contract and make contributions toward PERS or STRS (a retirement plan). Benefit package includes comprehensive medical, dental and vision plans, life insurance, sick leave, and 22 days of vacation per year. Administrators serve District-wide and may be assigned to the San Jacinto Campus, the Menifee Valley Campus, the Temecula Valley Campus, or any District facility. Additional openings that become available prior to the end of the hiring process may also be filled from the qualified applicants.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 1. A Bachelor's degree; (attach transcripts) AND 2. One (1) year of formal training, internship, or leadership experience reasonably related to the administrator's assignment; AND 3. Three (3) years of professional work experience in a financial aid office, business administration or closely related field; AND 4. Demonstrated sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, faculty, and staff ***Before scanning attachments, remove/redact sensitive, confidential information such as date of birth, social security number, and photograph***
