Job Summary

Natomas Unified School District is seeking a Principal for Natomas Park Elementary School. Natomas Park Elementary is a TK-6 school serving approximately 800 diverse students with engaging academics, high levels of parent participation, and a focus on AVID instructional methods. Natomas Park Elementary’s instructional model provides many opportunities for students to work together and be actively engaged in their learning. This position is supported by an Assistant Principal at the site. Natomas Park Elementary is a school with a rich community culture that supports ongoing learning and active involvement for all of its members! Students, teachers, support staff, and parents all provide valuable contributions to the academic success of our students and school. Requirements / Qualifications

Experience and Training Guidelines: Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities could qualify someone for this position. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be: Experience: Five years of responsible teaching experience, including two years of administrative and supervisory responsibility. Training: Equivalent to a Master’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in education, education administration, social work or a related field. License or Certificate: Valid California Administrative Services Credential issued by the State of California. Knowledge of, and experience with the following are highly desired: -AVID philosophy and methodologies -Restorative Justice practices -Trauma Informed practices -Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) Required Documents:

  • Copy of Transcript
  • Credential Copy (Administrative Services Credential)
  • Letter of Introduction
  • Letter(s) of Recommendation (3 recent letters of recommendation)
  • Resume
