TITLE - Teacher, ELEMENTARY CLASSROOM
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A. Credential
1.California credential authorizing elementary instruction
B.Education
1. Sufficient to meet credential requirements

A.Knowledge of and ability to implement the subject matter, philosophical, social and education concepts relative to the duties and responsibilities listed on this job description
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Select and order supplemental materials
2.Attend job-related meetings and activities
3.Perform other duties as directed by the administration
RELATIONSHIPS
1.Cooperates with school administration in providing displays and programs for the school and community, and in sponsoring fairs, clubs, and contests
2.Communicates with parents and school counselors on the individual pupil’s progress
3.Supervises pupils in out-of-classroom activities during the assigned working day
4.Identifies pupil needs, and cooperates with other professional staff members in assessing and
helping pupils solve health, attitude, and learning problems
5. Participates in curriculum and other developmental programs within the school of assignment
and/or on a District level. May teach under modular or flexible scheduling plans
PROFESSIONAL ATTITUDES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND PARTICIPATION
1.Performs basic attendance accounting and business services as required
2.Shares in the sponsorship of student activities and participates in faculty committees
3.May plan and coordinate the work of aides, teacher assistants, or other professionals
4.Maintains professional competence through participation in in-service education activities provided by the District and/or in self-selected professional growth activities

Requirements / Qualifications
All of the following documents are required for this position: Appropriate CA Multiple Subject Credential & 24 units in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or both. Or a PK-3 ECE Education Specialist Credential (Please attach a print screen of your document from the CTC website). Please upload both your Multiple Subject Teaching Credential or your PK-3 ECE Education Specialist Credential issued by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing or transcripts verifying the 24 units of early childhood education. Acceptable Child Development Permits include Child Development Teacher Permit, Master Teacher Permit, Site Supervisor, or Child Development Program Director Permit. If you are currently enrolled in a Credential program, please attach a letter to the Credential section of your Ed-Join application that indicates the name of your university and your expected completion date. Letter of Introduction Resume 3 Current Letters of Recommendation English Learner Authorization (CLAD, ELAM, ELA 1, BCLAD) All accepted If you do not currently possess a full English Learner Authorization, we can cover you under an Emergency CLAD Permit if offered a position with the District.
