Job Summary

Millbrae Elementary School District is looking for a School Psychologist who supports the academic, social, emotional, and behavioral well-being of students. They conduct assessments, collaborate with teachers and parents to develop interventions and support plans (including IEPs), and consult on school-wide issues to create a positive and supportive learning environment. They work to identify and address learning and mental health needs to help students succeed.

PRIMARY FUNCTION: To provide school psychology services that meet the educational needs of each student in the psychologist's area of responsibility.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS: Directly responsible to the Director of Educational Services. Directly responsible for the supervision of students in the psychologist's area of responsibility.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Delivery of services
    Will provide the psychological services which are consistent with district and school expectations and which meet the needs of students assigned to the psychologist.
  2. Communication
    Will communicate with students, parents, administrators and other staff members in a manner which is consistent with district and school expectations. Will participate and report at IEP team meetings.
  3. Management
    Will employ planning, record-keeping, resource management, and counseling environment management practices which are consistent with district and school expectations and which maximize the psychologist's effectiveness.
  4. Student supervision and welfare
    Will provide for student supervision which ensures student safety consistent with district and school expectations.
  5. Professional responsibilities
    Will assume professional responsibilities in a manner which meets district and school expectations and ensures continued personal and professional growth.
  6. Goals and objectives
    Will implement district goals and objectives for psychologists as modified in the individual's planning conference.
  7. Other duties
    Will perform other duties as assigned.

Valid CA Credential: California Pupil Personnel with School Psychologist authorization
