The County Executive Assistant provides high-level, confidential administrative support to the Superintendent of Schools and the Executive Leadership Team, including the Director of HR and Operations, Director of Student Support Services/Tahoe-Alpine SELPA, Director of Innovation and Student Success, the Assistant Superintendent of Business/CBO, and other cabinet-level staff. The position plays a vital role in ensuring organizational efficiency and smooth daily operations by managing executive calendars, coordinating communications, supporting board governance, and overseeing critical administrative functions. This role requires exceptional organizational, communication, and technical skills, as well as the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion. The Executive Assistant is instrumental in fostering a culture of professionalism, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Requirements / Qualifications
Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree preferred in business administration, public administration,education, or a related field. Associate’s degree and three (3) years of increasingly responsible administrative support experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree. Seven (7) or more years of progressively responsible experience supporting executive leadership in a public agency, education setting, or comparable organization may also be considered in lieu of formal education. Prior experience in a school district, county office of education, or governmental organization strongly preferred
