POSITION: Secretary II - Part-Time (.60 FTE). Current position is at Hall Middle School. Schedule: M-F 7:45 - 12:30 p.m. MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform school secretarial services utilizing modern office methods and procedures. Maintain positive relationships with staff, students and the community. Demonstrates initiative and resourcefulness. Communicates professionally, with correct use of grammar and punctuation. Applies knowledge of school procedures and policies; monitors ASB budget; maintains student council ledgers; maintains attendance records; handles incoming telephone calls; assists with lunch supervision when necessary; assists School Secretary I as needed. QUALIFICATIONS: Successful candidate will be organized and efficient, experienced in secretarial and clerical procedures; a strong communicator, able to carry out oral and written instructions in English; technologically proficient; flexible and adaptable and able to ; professional at all times; able to work cooperatively with staff, students and parents and to relate to middle school children with compassion, tact and understanding. CPR and First Aid training required. Experience working in a public school system is preferred. Bilingual preferred. Technological skills, especially knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Google Apps and student information systems, preferred. STARTING SALARY: Appropriate placement on Classified salary schedule.
