Job Summary

Under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent, the Associate Director of Instruction plays a key leadership role in advancing the quality and effectiveness of VCPS instructional programs. This position supports curriculum development, faculty training, instructional design, and academic assessment to ensure an engaging and equitable learning experience for all learners. The Associate Director of Instruction also collaborates closely with central office leadership, Principals, and instructional staff to drive innovation, support pedagogical best practices, and improve student outcomes.

Requirements / Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS Master’s degree in Education, Curriculum & Instruction, or a related field. Valid CA Teaching Credential and Administrative Services Credential Minimum of 5 years of experience in teaching, instructional design, or educational leadership. Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, pedagogy, and faculty support. Strong project management and organizational skills. Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities. Experience using educational technology tools. Experience facilitating effective teacher professional development. Experience in leading effective instructional environments. Knowledge of California academic standards.
