Salary is commensurate with experience and education level. Application Open Date: 5/7/25 Application Closing Date: 6/30/25 Job Summary: The Program Specialist, Special Education is responsible for supporting the planning, implementation, and evaluation of special education programs within the organization. This role involves coordinating program activities, ensuring compliance with policies and special education regulations, and assisting in program development to achieve organizational and student success goals. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders, including educators, administrators, and families. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in the development and execution of special education program objectives and strategies. - Coordinate and monitor special education program activities to ensure alignment with goals, timelines, and individualized education plans (IEPs). - Provide LEA support to assigned school sites. - Maintain records, reports, and documentation for program evaluation, compliance, and student progress tracking. - Support communication efforts by preparing reports, presentations, and correspondence related to special education services. - Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including teachers, parents, and support staff, to enhance program effectiveness. - Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices in special education service delivery. - Provide administrative and logistical support for special education - related events, training, and initiatives.
