Job Summary
The teacher is responsible for creating and maintaining a positive climate for growth in students, providing students with an inquiry-based learning environment that aligns with the IB MYP philosophy. The teacher facilitates learning opportunities cultivating student knowledge, skills, and the competencies they need to thrive in a diverse interconnected world. Additionally, the teacher collaborates with the principal, school personnel, district personnel, parents, and community partners to support the school’s vision and performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements / Qualifications
• Possession of a valid California Single Subject credential in Social Studies with BCLAD Authorization. • Bilingual/Biliterate in Spanish required. • Knowledge of principles, techniques, strategies, goals, and objectives of the subject. • A minimum of three (3) years of public-school experience as a secondary teacher is preferred. • Master’s Degree preferred.
