QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, business administration, or related field; • Minimum of 5 years increasingly responsible experience in the maintenance and repair of buildings, landscapes, and facilities, custodial, and operations; • Minimum of four years in a supervisory capacity; • Experience working in a school district or educational setting is desired; • History of exemplary work performance; • Successful experience demonstrating tact, courtesy, positive attitude, and maintaining cooperative relationships with those contacted during work; • Possession of a valid California driver’s license. OVERVIEW: The Manager of Maintenance, Operations, and Transportation supports the Director of Maintenance, Operations, and Transportation in overseeing the maintenance, repair, and management of district buildings, facilities, custodial, and grounds. This role ensures that all district properties are maintained in a safe, clean, and operational state, aligning with district policies and compliance regulations. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Assist the Director in planning and executing maintenance and operations strategies across district facilities; • Oversee daily activities involving the inspection, maintenance, and repair of buildings, facilities, custodial, and grounds; • Manage maintenance, operations, and custodial supervisors, including hiring, training, and evaluating staff performance, to ensure high levels of team morale and productivity; • Coordinate with the Director on budget management, including forecasting and monitoring expenditures; • Facilitate communication between the maintenance department and other district departments, ensuring timely and effective completion of projects; • Implement and oversee compliance with health and safety policies and regulations; Complete list of responsibilities below in Job Description.
