Instruction features a 1:1 Chromebook program and is centered in the Virtual Enterprise curriculum, Project-Based Learning, a collaborative, respectful culture, and an emphasis on 21st-century skills. Samueli Academy teachers must have the ability to raise student achievement for a wide range of learners. This teacher will collaborate with other teachers, community partners, and caregivers, integrating curricula whenever possible to create meaningful learning experiences. [Certification Requirements] A valid California teaching credential, preferred CTE Credential in Business and Finance (or certification if teaching a specialized subject) authorizing teaching in an assigned classroom/subject matter, and the equivalent of CLAD Certification [To be considered for this position, the candidate must submit the below with their application] 1) A cover letter addressing: Business/Virtual Enterprise, Project/Problem-Based Learning, use of technology in the classroom, and/or teaching and assessing your content via our School-Wide Learning Outcomes: Written Communication, Oral Communication, and Collaboration 2) A resume that clearly describes your education and employment background, including dates of employment at each organization 3) One (1) to three (3) current letters of recommendation 4) Copy of valid California Teaching Credential/CTE Credential 5) Proof of BS/BA Degree
