CRLA Yorba Linda will utilize a Classical Education model. Position Overview The Elementary Teacher, grades TK-6, provides a high quality instruction within a small school environment where every student is known and valued as an individual. As a founding school teacher of a Classical Education model school, teachers will likely be learning a new style of teaching that is both rigorous and rewarding. Essential Duties and Requirements Establish a school culture that inspires and empowers the next generation of California’s leaders to excel academically, to be proud Americans, proud Californians, and to impact the world with excellence derived from an education like that which produced the inspired servant leaders who founded our great nation. Develop and implement lesson plans and classroom activities aligned with California State Standards and Classical Education standards Assess students regularly and analyze student results; refine and differentiate classroom instruction based on assessment data and student needs Collaborate with colleagues to improve instructional practices throughout the school; share best practices Communicate regularly with students and their families about classroom activities and student progress Involve parents and guardians as partners in their students’ education Manage student behavior to ensure every student is fully
Requirements / Qualifications
Cleared, Multiple Subject Teaching Credential (California) with valid EL authorization Livescan fingerprint CPR/First Aid TB test Required knowledge, skills & abilities: Knowledge of child cognitive development and various learning styles Knowledge of subject matter, including California State Standards and subject-specific frameworks Knowledge of assessments Ability and willingness to implement CRLA curriculum Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative student data Ability and willingness to reflect and improve instructional practices Ability to collaborate with colleagues, parents and community Computer and Internet search skills Minimum educational level: Bachelor's Degree Valid California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential required English Language Learner Authorization required Experience required: 1+ year working with students as a teacher, teacher intern, or teaching assistant preferred
