Job Summary
The Chief Academic & Innovation Officer holds ultimate responsibility, accountability, and authority for four buckets of work: 1. Distinctive and Mission-Saturated Academic Program Quality and Parent Partnership: ensuring our academic programs are exceptional, high quality, mission-aligned, empathetic, and designed to address the needs and challenges of our most critical partners: parents. 2. Exceptional Academic Program Implementation and Support in Partnership with Schools: A) the strategy and design, B) the training and support, and C) the seamless handoff to schools of our academic programs, including intentional and integrated implementation supports. 3. Systems-leadership Across A Portfolio of Complex, Flexible Models: evolving the why, how, and what of curriculum, assessment, professional development, support mechanisms, technology, and innovation to include A) more distributed leadership, B) a close consideration of what work is embedded in schools versus done outside of schools, C) matrixed support and coordination, D) a nuanced consideration of the different between training, coaching, modeling, and push-in, and E) and qualitative and quantitative data monitoring. 4. Seamless Modernization of Academic Programs, Tools, Resources, and Approaches to Maximize Effectiveness and Stakeholder Experience: a firm grasp of technology, innovative approaches, artificial intelligence and what and where they can support as well as where and how they can distract; able roll up sleeves with technology and innovation alongside the best in our school network and design, coach, and implement solutions and approaches that reinforce our mission. The Chief Academic & Innovation Officer directly leads an academic team and collaborates with the Chief Schools Officer. The Chief Academic and Innovation Officer will balance vision, confidence, and expertise with humility, partnership, and service in their partnership and value-added contributions to our school lea
