Job Summary

Job Summary

Excel Academy is a non-classroom-based, tuition-free TK-12 charter school program where teachers and parents partner together. The part-time School Psychologist provides high-quality psychological services and special education program management to assist schools in meeting the educational needs of all students through leadership, collaboration, and consultation with all internal and external stakeholders. In accordance with the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) professional standards, the School Psychologist is a credentialed professional with extensive experience serving students with disabilities who serves in a leadership role in special education, providing guidance to school personnel in the implementation of special education procedures, policies, and compliance. The School Psychologist uses their advanced knowledge and training in human development, behavior, and mental health, to facilitate successful learning experiences for all students.

Requirements / Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Please refer tot he job description for details. Valid California pupil personnel services credential with special authorization in school psychology Two years as an Educational Psychologist, including some experience in special education. MA degree with major course work in educational psychology and special education. Upon offer: State and federal fingerprint clearance (LiveScan) to work with students (Education Code Section 44237). No prospective employee can report to work without this clearance being received and Human Resources notifying the immediate supervisor of this clearance Hold and maintain a valid California Driver’s License; proof of automobile insurance; and full time use of a dependable automobile that is insured pursuant to California regulations. Proof of a clear TB test dated within the last 60 days (Education Code Section 49406) upon employment and thereafter updated every four years Copy of Transcript (unofficial are acceptable) Credential Copy (Valid California pupil personnel services credential with special authorization in school psychology) Letter of Introduction Letter(s) of Recommendation (Three current letters (Within 1 year) and at least one from an immediate supervisor) Resume
