Requirements / Qualifications

The Vacancy: There is one full-time, 12-month permanent open position at the District Office. This recruitment will also be used to fill future vacancies and substitute/temporary positions in this classification for up to six months. The Position: The Director of Purchasing and Warehouse, under the general direction of the Assistant Superintendent of Business Services or Chief Business Officer, will plan, coordinate, organize, direct, and control the purchasing, warehouse, and reprographics operations of the District and assist with the coordination of contract management functions for the District.

Required Qualifications: Three to five years of responsible purchasing experience in a lead or supervisory position, preferably in a public school setting. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business administration or closely related field from an accredited four-year university. Health Benefits: Covina-Valley Unified School District offers 3 different employer-paid HMO medical plans (Kaiser HMO, Blue Shield of California Access HMO, and Trio HMO) to choose from as well as full dental, vision, and life insurance plans at no cost to all benefit-eligible employees. Extended coverage for your qualified dependents is also available at a low price. Employees who work 31+ hours/weekly also have the option to choose a low-cost PPO plan.
