Job Summary
The Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) teacher will be responsible for implementing a well-planned and developmentally appropriate visual and performing arts program according to the California Visual and Performing Arts Framework for High School Students. The teacher will provide instruction in multiple modalities, in the areas of visual and performing arts, which can include music, media arts, visual arts, painting, creative expression including graphic arts and design, animation, music composition, script writing.
Requirements / Qualifications
• An earned bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university • A valid California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential or Single Subject Teaching Credential or equivalent or combination of credentials authorizing K-12 teaching service in a specific arts area • Authorization in Visual and/or Performing Art • English Learner authorization required • Teaching experience in a public or private school required • Previous teaching experience with the ability to engage and inspire students. • Tuberculosis (TB) test clearance is required • Department of Justice (DOJ) Live Scan clearance is required El Camino Real Charter High School is in need of one (1) VAPA- Art Teacher A complete application file consists of: -Cover Letter -Certificated online application through EdJoin -Current Resume -Three letters of reference *The following are required for this position prior to the offer of employment: -Fingerprint Clearance -TB Clearance
