DUTIES: Provides consultation to administrators, teachers, and parents in the areas of learning, behavior and adjustment; consults with school personnel to help produce an environment more conductive to learning. Diagnoses learning and behavior problems in children and recommends steps for remediation to teachers and parents. Provides the psychological diagnostic information required before placement is made in the many programs for exceptional children. Performs assessment of intellectual functioning; provides individual or group counseling; performs annual evaluation of progress towards instructional and behavioral goals; collaborates in the placement of student in various programs; serves as a member of Student Study Team. QUALIFICATIONS: Valid Designated Services, Pupil Personnel, or any California Credential which authorizes service as a School Psychologist. Master's degree in psychology and at least one year's full-time supervised internship. Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English. Bilingual preferred. Criminal Justice Fingerprint Clearance Required
