Job Summary

How You Will Make an Impact The Curriculum Instruction Specialist (CIS) will work collaboratively with his/her content area team, under the guidance and supervision of the Curriculum Instruction Coordinator, to develop, revise, and support the implementation of curriculum throughout the Organization scope. Additionally, the CIS will collaborate with Organizational education stakeholders on the development, implementation and ongoing support of curriculum benchmarks and other student academic performance assessments, tools and/or programs. The CIS is to maintain regular contact with the CDE and other agencies with regard to standards and other pertinent issues, disseminating information regarding standards or policy changes. Lastly, the CIS will be experienced and adept at providing teachers with instructional support and professional learning opportunities focusing on improving and increasing teachers' efficacy and capacity. The ability to create professional development and training materials and presentations is necessary in combination with excellent presentation skills.
