Job Summary
Job Summary
Under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services, lead and manage Districtwide Special Education programs. Provide strategic leadership to a multidisciplinary team, including Site Administrators, Teachers, Instructional Assistants, School Psychologists, Speech-Language Pathologists, Nurses, Board Certified Behavior Analysts, Occupational Therapists, and support staff to deliver services across diverse student needs. Collaborate with the Supporting Inclusive Practices (SIP) consultant to increase access to general education settings and drive meaningful academic and functional outcomes for students with disabilities. Supervise and evaluate staff, and apply legal and policy expertise to guide compliant, student-centered decisions. Oversee psychological services, including assessments and consultations, to support the overall well-being and success of students and families.
Requirements / Qualifications
Masters of Arts degree Valid California Education Specialist Credential, Multiple Subject Credential or Pupil Personnel Credential. Valid Administrative Services Credential Experience: A minimum of five (5) years in elementary school district including at least three (3) years in Special Education program Letter of Interest, updated resume, 3 letters of recommendation from recent supervisors
