Job Summary
Under supervision of the Assistant Principal of Adult Education, the Data Analysis Clerk-Administrative Software Applications Program (ASAP), will perform a variety of specialized tasks; maintain and manage database files; compile reports; process transcripts and grade reports; analyze Spanish test data and provide support to non-English speaking students; review enrollment applications and analyze transcripts.
Requirements / Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent, supplemented by coursework, training, experience in office procedure in office procedures. Experience: Three or more years of general clerical work experience, operation of standard office equipment, and knowledge of computerized database collection system. General knowledge of rules and regulations of the district and the State of California regarding enrollment and curriculum of Adult Education students and experience with Microsoft Word and Access Programs, is desirable. Any other combination of training and/or experience that could likely provide the desired skills, knowledge and abilities may be considered.
Knowledge of: Modern office procedures and equipment, correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation and vocabulary, oral and written communication skills, computer hardware and word processing and database management experience, telephone techniques and public relations etiquette. The ability to speak, write, and read Spanish is required. Ability to: Operate a computerized database management system, perform word processing with proficiency. Effectively and efficiently perform clerical assignments involving independent judgment and requiring accuracy and speed. Spell correctly, understand and complete verbal and written directions, establish and maintain cooperative working relationships, make basic calculations for reports, conduct research in areas of assignment, keep records as required and make recommendations for improving area of responsibility.
