Requirements / Qualifications
Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job-related field and have at least four years of progressively responsible professional experience in systems design, scripting, network administration, and optimization within a large LAN/WAN environment. A minimum of one year must include direct responsibility for network, server, and systems security. Candidates should demonstrate strong knowledge of cybersecurity practices including multi-factor authentication (MFA), virtual private networks (VPN), public key infrastructure (PKI), single sign-on (SSO), encryption methods, and established security standards such as CIS and NIST. Selection Process All applications will be screened to ensure applicant meets minimum qualifications. The process will include a 2-part oral exam scheduled for May 22, 2025. Passing score is 75% on each exam. Those candidates achieving a passing score of 75% or higher will be placed on an eligibility list and will receive a departmental interview. The eligibility list is good for one year. All exams are based on the job description for the position. Job descriptions are available on the District website, Personnel Commission, or Human Resources.
