Job Summary

BASIC FUNCTION: Under the direction of the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) – Technology Services, the Data Management and Applications role is to focus on strategic development and operation of the Business Information (BI)/data warehousing practice, including managing staffing requirements, optimizing processes and technology, and ensuring a high availability BI/data warehouse platform. The director will also work closely with stakeholders in other departments and agencies to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support solutions to deliver information to satisfy their needs. Lead team of Programmer/Analysts, Information Technology Analysts and other technical resources to identify customer requirements, consider available technologies and implement appropriate solutions. Assist Technology Services and SBAS staff in interpreting rules and regulations and the Education Code and in developing computerized software systems. Participate and contribute to the overall management and teamwork of the Technology Services Department.

Requirements / Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to: Associate of Arts/Science degree in Information Technology, and five years of professional experience in a business or computer related position that included participation in the design or implementation of a computerized system and experience in the management of support personnel. In addition, two years of a senior systems analyst, involving increasingly complex systems analysis, design and implementation. LICENSES AND REQUIREMENTS: Valid California driver's license.
