Job Summary

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Chief Business and Facilities Officer, the Director of Child Nutrition Services oversees the planning, management, and operation of the District's Food Service Program. This includes developing budgets, business, and marketing plans, ensuring compliance with the State and Federal regulations, and maintaining high-quality meal service. The Director trains and supervises staff in food preparation, scratch cooking. and technology use while ensuring efficient operations and excellent service. The role involves collaborating with administrators and stakeholders to align the program with district goals, participation in audits, and securing funding to enhance the program.

Requirements / Qualifications

2-3 CURRENT Letters of Reference Resume AND must meet one of the following: 1. A Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent educational experience, as determined by the State agency, with an academic major or concentration in food and nutrition, food service management, dietetics, family and consumer sciences, nutrition education, culinary arts, business administration management, or a related field; 2. A Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent educational experience, as determined by the State agency, with any academic major or area of concentration, and a State-Recognized certificate for school nutrition managers; 3. An Associate's Degree, or equivalent educational experience, as determined by the state agency, with an academic major or area of concentration in food and nutrition, food service management, dietetics, family and consumer sciences, nutrition education, culinary arts, business, or a related field and at least two years of relevant school nutrition program experience. Managers/Directors hired with an associate's degree are strongly encouraged to work toward attaining a Bachelor's Degree in an academic major in the fields listed in this paragraph.
